Our Facilities


Camp T.N. Spencer, Vietnam Veterans, Frank Liske and Rob Wallace are open daily 8 a.m.-8 p.m., March through October. From April through October, Frank Liske Park operates until 9 p.m.

Each County park facility includes areas that are perfect for family reunions, weddings, company outings and many other activities.

CabinOne of our most-popular reservations is for the climate-controlled cabins at Camp Spencer. Visitors can enjoy the great outdoors, swimming and campfire, and then retire for the night in a private cabin with amenities, including refrigerators and microwaves.

Park Educational Programs

Nature WalkCabarrus offers many low-cost classes, camps and workshops year round. Connect with the outdoors while participating in hands-on programs geared toward nature, conservation, sustainability and environmental stewardship education.

The junior ranger program offers free nature education to local students in the classroom and through field trips to our parks. Scout troops are also encouraged to ask about merit badge programs at our parks.

In addition to one-time classes, Active Living and Parks offers spring break and summer day camps.

Active Living For All PeopleJogging

Cabarrus County offers activities that encourage active living for all people of all ages.

From organized tournaments and races to activities you can do at your leisure, our parks let you choose your adventure.


Cabarrus parks feature picnic areas, a pool, paddleboats, a fishing pond, softball fields, tennis courts, a miniature golf course and nature trails with activity stops.

HulaThe senior centers provide recreational, educational and wellness activities for older adults. Seniors gather at the centers to meet friends for a game of cards, billiards, shuffleboard and more.

The County also offers a variety of classes and clubs for all levels of activity. There are also special events just for seniors, including dances with live bands, holiday celebrations, health screenings, talent shows and more.


Athletic Tournaments At Frank Liske Park

Athletic leagues from across the region come to Cabarrus to participate in tournament play at Frank Liske Park. The park hosts several tournaments each year, bringing thousands of visitors to the park. If you are participating in a tournament at Frank Liske Park, we encourage you to learn about the other fun family activities you can do while at the park.

Supporting The CommunityTrail

A matching incentive grant program is administered by Active Living and Parks. Civic, community and school groups are invited to submit an application for funds to improve a public area of Cabarrus, by acquiring land for community use or improving public facilities. Application are processed in May and June.
